Virtual EC-Earth meeting -

Please register for the online October 2025 EC-Earth meeting via the form:  EC-Earth Consortium Meeting - October 2025 organized by the Danish Meteorological Institute.

The deadline for registration is September 15 at 23.00.

 

This meeting will focus on the technical aspects of the EC-Earth model development, In particular, the meeting will

1. Report the state of the EC-Earth4 development
2. Identify the remaining issues and possible solutions/plans toward finalizing a stable EC-Earth4 for production, and
3. Prepare for the EC-Earth contributions to the CMIP7 Assessment Fast Track.

Each Working Group (WG) will organize a session of about 2-3 hours that are relevant for the corresponding component of the model or topic. The agenda of the sessions will be organized by the respective WG leads/co-leads and may include (but not limited to):

• Short talks (~10 min. or less) that addressing the physical mechanisms and technical implementation of the relevant processes/parameterizations;
• Open discussions on any issues encountered toward finalizing EC-Earth4;
• Plan the next step – development in the coming 6 months and beyond.

Presentations related to applications of EC-Earth3 and lessens learnt from past model development and CMIP6 experience are also welcome.

EC-EARTH GA will be held online using teams. We will be using the same link for the three days of the meeting, accessible here:

Access the meeting: instructions have been sent to participants by e-mail, check your e-mail and if you cannot find the instructions please contact the organizers.

Although it is possible to connect using web browser application, we recommend you to download desktop application. We will be connected 15 minutes before the beginning of every session, so we would kindly ask speakers of every session to connect a few minutes in advance to test microphone, camera and sharing screen, and to send their slides on pdf before the session, so we can share them in case of any technical problem.
